Telkomsigma Targets Rp1,5 Trillion Revenue in 2014

PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (Telkomsigma), a subsidiary of PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk targeted Rp 1,5 trillion revenue in 2014, which increasing 11.52 percent, compared to 2013 revenue of Rp 1,345 trillion.

“2014 will be “The Year for Quality” in which we target 10-20% growth above industry average in revenue, ” said CEO Telkomsigma, Judi Achmadi, while attending Sharing and UpDate Telkomsigmas Strategic Movement 2014, in Jakarta, Monday (2/17).

Judi explained that the Rp 1,5 trillion attainment target was set by shareholders, while another internal Rp 2 trillion target was set by management to be reached by Telkomsigma employees.

“The target revenue achievement is a significant acceleration as the Rp-1-trillion target is supposed to be achieved by 2015, It is suprising that it has been exceeded in 2013,” said Judi.

As Telkom’s business portfolio motor, particularly for information services term, Telkomsigma has undertaken numerous strategic initiatives such as Sentul and Serpong center data acquisitions. Judi also said that the harder business challenge has underlaid Terlkomsigma’s policy considerations to organize strategic plans in order to maintain position in the industry.

There were three business portfolios to be developed, namely System Integration, Data Center and Managed Services (SDM). In portfolio data center, Telkomsigma would build three new data centers by 2014, namely Balikpapan with 40,000 square meters large, Bekasi with 30,000 square meters large and Batam with 1,000 square meters large.

“Balikpapan data center has tier 3 specifications”, tier 4 for Cikarang (Bekasi) and Batam with “tier 3”. First, we have to acquire data centers, but now, we just build it bya joining Accenture, a management global enterprise for consulting, technology services and outsourcing,” says Judi.

Even so, this 1990 ITS-graduated and 2002-graduated of Bandung’s Master Management of Institute Management (IMT) did not further explain how the investment spent for enterprise data center development was.
