Satellite TV
Satellite TV or Direct To Home (DTH) is a TELKOMVision service that can be received directly by subscribers through a satellite reciever (satellite dish antenna) and decoder. Broadcasts received through the decoder facility are in digital quality.

1. Decoder
This allows the subscriber to recieve and convert digital signals from satellites with the aid of a broadcast/picture card (smart card). The decoder uses the CAS system compatible with IRDETO which is TELKOMVision's DTH system.
2. Smart Card
Smart Card (ISO 1900) has an embedded chip that functions as a code interpreter for IRDETO broadcast and subscriber control.
3. LNB (Low Noise Block)
A device that recieves downlink satellite signals converting them into intermediate frequencies before entering the coaxial cables.
4. Antenna
A reflector in the shape of a parabola or satellite dish in the form of a solid or mesh.
5. Coaxial Cable
Cables that connect the decoder and the LNB. Model series RG11 (Cable Length: 50 - 100 m) or RG6 (Cable Length: <50 m)
