As Fixed Network Provider, TELKOM owns and operates various network infrastructure used for providing various telecommunication services according to the license owned. Network and infrastructure or equipment owned and operated by TELKOM at present are as follows:
1.Local Fixed Network based on cable (Fixed Wireline, = FWL), and non-cable (Fixed Wireless Access, = FWA);
2.Long Distance Fixed Network;
3.International Fixed Network;
4.Signaling System Network;
5.Intelligent Network (IN) system;
6. LeasedCircuit;
TELKOM also provides multimedia service that is telephony internet service for public need (ITKP).
TELKOM Fixed Network is equipped with IN System in order to have capability to support or provide Jasnita (Jasa Nilai Tambah=added value service) based on IN covering: Premium Call, Free Call, Uni Call, Vote Call, Split Charging, and VPN. Implementation of service access of TELKOM Jasnita from telecommunication network access searcher interconnected with Telkom Fixed Network can be made based on an agreement.
TELKOM provides leased circuit to be used by access searcher either for the need of Link Interconnection (between 2 Gate Switching) or for the need of internal access searcher for connecting facility between two (2) Mobile Switching Center (MSC), between MSC and BTS or for other needs. TELKOM leased circuit is available in the category of local, long distance (among regions) with national coverage, and international (among countries).
The leased circuit is digital transmission using satellite system and also terrestrial system. Leased terrestrial circuit is available in various forms using technology of microwave and fiber optic. Leased satellite circuit is available in the form of IDR (Intermediate Data Rate) and transponder.
For the need of interconnection, the lowest transmission unit is 64 Kbps and for medium capacity and upwards is by one (1) unit E-1 or identical with 2 Mbps. In certain cities TELKOM has terrestrial transmission using SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) and PDH (Plesionchronous Digital Hierarchy) technology and others.
For speed of Interconnection service, TELKOM recommends Access Searcher to use TELKOM leased circuit for Link Interconnections that must be provided by Access Searcher. Use of TELKOM leased circuit shall of course consider availability of existing capacity and TELKOM capability in developing and providing the capacity concerned.
