Medan, March 31, 2008 – Telkom Regional Division I, cooperate with Departement of National Education arrange Indonesia Digital Community (INDIGO) Program at Saturday (29/3), in North Sumatera State Museum. The program contain internet introduction and training which is involved 100 information technology teachers from many schools in Medan.
INDIGO Program for teachers in Medan was expected to decrease digital imbalanced but increase education process quality. Besides, the introduction of Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) aim to make the teachers more creative and innovative in teaching about IT to their students. “The fast growing ICT have to be used by education institution for accelerating education quality achievement”, explained Budisuranto, Excecutive General Manager Telkom Regional Division I.
Together with the program, Budisuranto negotiate with Head of North Sumatera State Museum, Sri Hartini about museum digitalization program. This program will be released after Telkom Regional Division I was succesful in arranging North Sumatera State Library Digitalization Program.
While, Telkom General Manager Medan Area Office, R. Umam Aly explain that Telkom will prepare to digitalize North Sumatera State Museum as soon as possible. “We hope this museum would be a digital museum on May 2008”.
