simPATI International Roaming
simPATIis now available for International Roaming

With this International Roaming feature, simPATI, launched in November 1997, becomes the pioneer in refill pre-paid card in Indonesia even in Asia and used in many countries.

If you are a simPATI customer, it is time for you to enjoy feature facility, that is, simPATI International Roaming when you are abroad as a result of cooperation with 112 operators in 53 countries. Other countries will follow. You will still be contacted by phone or via SMS in more than 201 operators in 79 countries.

During abroad you can make outgoing calls either to Indonesia (home country) or to other countries if the customer is within the zone in the same country. You can receive SMS (SMS Mobile Terminating) for free and you can also receive incoming calls from anywhere.

  3. Registration only once for card number for further service activities.
  4. Registration only once via SMS to 6616 and no need to send ID or others.
  5. Always stay in touch : You can make outgoing calls and incoming calls when you are abroad.
  6. Able to receive SMS for free.
  7. Able to check the remaining voucher for free.
  8. Cover 53 countries and will soon increase.
  9. Able to call other operators’ customers including PSTN in Indonesia and those in other countries when you are within the zone in the same country.
  10. Facility to use communication service only by dialing: *131*+<CODE Country><NUMBER of Cellular Phone Without '0'>#
  11. No need to change your cellular phone when traveling abroad  
How to Get Features 

Before traveling abroad, you have to make registration by sending an SMS to 6616 with the format of SMS as follows :

Type an SMS : IR < space >< card number >

For example : IR 6210108722103852

Send to : 6616

Tariff of SMS : Rp. 350,- / SMS (effective April 1, 2003)

Notes :
  1. Card number is ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identification) consisting of sixteen (16) digits and placed at the backside of your simPAT I cardchip.
  2. Content of SMS not depending on capital or small letters (non case sensitive).
  3. In typing card number, no space needed.
After making registration, you have to switch off your cellular phone and then re-switch on your cellular phone.

Activating process at the latest 1 x 24 hours from the receipt of request.

Cellular phone Setting

When you are abroad, you can select Telkomsel’s operating partner network abroad that gives USSD Call Back support manually.

For example: select SingTel - Singapore network operator manually (e.g. for Nokia).

Check the Remaining Voucher Abroad 

simPATI customers can have information on the remaining voucher during abroad using string command : *132# for free.

Tips of Using simPATI International Roaming Features
    1. Before using simPATI abroad, make sure that the remaining voucher is sufficient. Minimum voucher is Rp. 50.000, below Rp. 50.000 you cannot make voice communication abroad.
    2. You can contact PSTN Call Center to know information about simPATI International Roaming.
    3. For the time being, simPATI customers are:
      • Unable to send SMS (SMS Mobile Originating) during abroad.
      • Unable to make voucher refill during abroad.
    4. To make voucher refill abroad, simPATI customers have options such as:
      • Phone Banking PHONEPLUS, cooperation between Telkomsel and BANK BNI.
      • Internet Banking NIAGA ACCESS, cooperation between Telkomsel and BANK NIAGA.
      • Top up recharge voucher by Auto refill from the home country (made by their family)
