Jakarta, March 5 2020 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) once again lauded as Industry Leader at the SOE Performance Excellence Award (BPEA) held by the SOE Excellent Forum (FEB) in Jakarta, Wednesday (4/3). Chairperson of the House of Representatives Commission VI Faisol Riza presented the award to Telkom Strategic Portfolio Director Achmad Sugiarto, Chairperson of the FEB Agung Yunanto and Infobank News Editor-in-Chief Eko B. Supriyanto.

The award recognizes the company for achieving excellence level of its performance which is based on the Superior Performance Assessment Criteria (KPKU) that the SOE Ministry established in 2012. This is a token of appreciation to SOEs that have excellent performance and competitiveness through integration of various management systems.

Telkom Strategic Portfolio Director Achmad Sugiarto expressed his gratitude to the FEB for appreciating all internal and external stakeholders who continue to support Telkom in performing excellently. "This award is a very important calibration for Telkom, which is constantly innovating and is transforming into a digital telecommunications company in order to maintain the company's sustainability by continuing to strengthen and enhance its digital business," Achmad Sugiarto said.

Achmad Sugiarto further explained that Telkom has undertaken various initiatives to accelerate the digital business growth, in line with the expansion of digital backbone network infrastructure and digital access networks throughout Indonesia. "Telkom continues to strengthen its digital business which includes connectivity, digital platform development and providing digital service. This is certainly expected to continue to improve Telkom's competitiveness and performance in the future, "said Achmad Sugiarto.

The SOE criteria performance is one of the SOE Ministry initiatives to support SOEs performance through systematic and sustainable improvement and performance towards world-class performance. The KPKU concept was adopted and adapted from MBCfPE (Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence) which refers to the Global Best Practice developed and managed by the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), the United States government, and has been adopted by various countries in the world.

At least there were 100 SOEs which the KPKU assessor team have assessed to determine the company's competitive position based on the performance of the assessment year. KPKU divides the Excellence Level into 8 (eight) bands, starting from Early Development (ED), Early Result (ER), Early Improvement (EI), Good Performance (GP), Emerging Industry Leader (EIL), Industry Leader ( IL), Benchmark Leader (BM) and the highest level is World Class (WC).

"This award would not have been possible without the contribution of all employees who work fast and smartly in order to provide the best for the company. Hopefully this award will motivate us to continue to improve the capacity and quality of our performance to become a world-class digital telecommunications company," he concluded.
