Improving HR Competence, Bank Papua Utilizes Telkom's LMS Application

Jakarta, 3 June 2022 – The financial sector, especially banking, is one of the main sectors that supports regional economic growth. This makes digitization of this sector inevitable and necessary. Collaboration between sectors, development of digital innovation, integrated infrastructure will support acceleration to digitize Indonesia's banking system.

Enterprise and Business Service Director of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) Edi Witjara gave out Learning Management System application of Bank Papua to President Director of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Papua, F. Zendrato in Jakarta (31/5). This collaboration is in line with Bank Papua's business plan, among which is a target to implement BPD Transformasi, a HR competence development program. 

As a local government-owned bank in Papua, Bank Papua is committed to providing the best service to stakeholders, managing the business through safe and sound banking practices, running the business professionally, and encouraging economic growth in Papua. Bank Papua and Telkom therefore establish a professional cooperative relationship that emphasizes on providing added value and benefits to each company.

Telkom Enterprise and Business Service Director Edi Witjara in his remarks expressed appreciation for Bank Papua's trust in Telkom to work together as part of the BPD Transformasi program by providing the Learning Management System application to develop and strengthen Bank Papua's human resources capabilities. This is in line with Telkom's ongoing transformation into an increasingly competent digital telecommunication company.

"Telkom is customer-oriented in carrying out this transformation and has a vision to become the preferred digital telco that advances the society through three main business focuses, namely digital connectivity, digital platform, and digital services. Previously, we have also successfully supported the government in digitizing various industrial sectors in the country, ranging from health, banking, logistics, transportation, retail, manufacturing, and many more. With our capabilities , we are ready to continuously collaborate with Bank Papua to support digitization acceleration of regional banks in Indonesia," Edi said.

President Director of Bank Papua F. Zendrato in his remarks also expressed his appreciation for Telkom's support to Bank Papua in implementing the Learning Management System application as part of Bank Papua's HR capability and competency development program. This is in line with one of the five BPD Transformasi programs, namely human capital development which plays an important role in Bank Papua business development. 

"We hope to continue in synergy with Telkom to realize Bank Papua's vision to become a strong, reliable, competitive regional bank and to support Papua's economic development,”  F. Zendrato said.

Through this Telkom and Bank Papua collaboration,, both parties have a mutually beneficial relation that benefits and gives added value in accordance with their respective capabilities. "With the spirit of synergy, Telkom is confident and committed to continue supporting the digitalization of regional banks in Indonesia by providing integrated ICT service solutions that eventually could improve services for the Indonesian society," Edi said.
