Jakarta, 13 May 2019 – A testament to its commitment in developing human resources in the company, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) through the Telkom Corporate University Center (Telkom CorpU) won an award at the Global Council of Corporate University (GlobalCCU) Awards held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on 7, 8, and 9 May 2019. Telkom CorpU won the "Best Overall Corporate University Gold Award", outperforming numerous corporate universities from various parts of the world. Bambang Budiono, Deputy Senior General Manager of Telkom CorpU, was present at the event to receive the award,.

In general, there were a number aspects that GlobalCCU considered to name Telkom CorpU as the "Best Overall Corporate University Gold Award", namely strategies that are in line with the core business, its roles as guardians for corporate culture, good implementing strategy and development and utilization of ICT in all company activities.

GlobalCCU is an institution established in 2005 aiming to bring together a global network of corporate university professionals and to help its members to learn from each other’s experiences. GlobalCCU has a collaboration platform with affiliate members in 50 countries. The Best Overall Corporate University category is intended to encourage companies to create a learning process that is increasingly widespread, involving multiple sources, and encouraging more users and producers, as well as sources of knowledge.

In his remarks, Bambang Budiono expressed his joy and said he was really honored to receive this significant important award. " Telkom CorpU is very proud with this award and appreciation, as it has been able to demonstrate its understanding of sociological seismic and technological disruption, and to implement social collaborating tools very well," said Bambang.

Telkom Director of Human Capital Management Herdy Harman, on a separate occasion said, Telkom won the gold award not only because it was able to show its very high involvement in developing talent, business, and society in the long term, but it also proved its capability in managing the company's culture and innovation in a smart way. 

This is Telkom’s third  participation in the biennial award event. In 2015, Telkom won the "Best Overall Corporate University Bronze Award" title, while in 2017 Telkom CorpU won the "Best Overall Corporate University Silver Award".

“If you are not getting better, you are getting worse. We must progress every time, and keep changing for the better. Telkom CorpU’s achievement has boosted Telkom's confidence and credibility to provide the best services both internally and externally, especially to fellow SOEs, so that SOEs synergy would be better in order to contribute to the nation," said Herdy.
