BUKITTINGGI, June 11, 2026 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) officially launched the EduMind Wellbeing & AI Camp program at the Bung Hatta Convention Hall, Bukittinggi, running from June 11 to 13, 2026. This program targets 300 High School (SMA) students across Bukittinggi as a pilot project to strengthen an educational ecosystem that is safe, psychologically healthy, and adaptive to the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. This strategic initiative is designed as a concrete step to address the rampant cases of cyberbullying and digital pressure that often affect the younger generation.

The EduMind Wellbeing & AI Camp program is a tangible implementation of Telkom's Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) through its flagship education program under the Social Responsibility Center (SRC), called "BISA pandAI". With a vision to improve educational quality and socio-economic welfare through smart digital utilization, the agenda in Bukittinggi adopts the "BISA MAHIR" pillar to build the competencies of young AI talents, foster innovation in the use of digital solutions within communities, and ensure the sustainability of the digital works generated.

The launch of this grand agenda was attended by several local policy figures and provincial education authorities, including Mr. Albertiusman, S.Si., M.Si, Head of the Bukittinggi Education & Culture Department; Mr. Diansa Gunadi Thaib, SE., M.Comm, Head of the General Affairs Division of the West Sumatra Province Education Quality Assurance Center (BBPMP); and Mrs. Dra. Mirawati, M.Si, Head of the SMK and SLB Section of the West Sumatra Education Department Branch Office Region I.

Telkom partnered with EduMind, an implementing partner, the Maleo Talenta Cendekia Foundation, led by Mrs. Mutiara Hikma Mahendradatta, BBA, MBA. EduMind is a digital educational psychology application that monitors student emotional conditions (student wellbeing) and early detects psychological risks and learning barriers, helping Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers create a safe and healthy school ecosystem.

Aline Zivana, S.Si., MBA, Manager of Economic, Law & Government Development at the Social Responsibility Center, Telkom Indonesia, emphasized that Telkom's commitment under the "BISA pandAI" umbrella goes beyond merely providing digital connectivity infrastructure. Telkom takes full moral responsibility for guiding the development of mental resilience and technological proficiency among the youth in this era of informational disruption.

"Currently, Gen Z faces massive digital pressure—ranging from FOMO and cyberbullying to systemic anxiety about their future. Through the BISA pandAI flagship program, Telkom is fully committed to building a resilient and ethical national Digital Talent Pool. We want to educate our 10th- and 11th-grade students so they do not trap themselves into being mere tech consumers or victims. On the contrary, through this AI competency enhancement and digital literacy pillar, they are encouraged to become creators and problem-solvers in their school environment. We must control technology, not be controlled by it," said Aline Zivana.

As the technical execution basis, the EduMind platform brings a scientific paradigm of 'Every Child Matters, Every Potential Nurtured'. This platform provides a School Wellbeing Dashboard as an accurate database for Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers and homeroom teachers, equipped with Incident Escalation Support and implementation consultation. Not only operating within the school environment, EduMind also bridges synergy with parents through the Parent Access & Insight feature and Monthly Parenting Webinars. This integrative step is presented to realize a Child-Friendly School (SRA) ecosystem and a responsive, safe, and comprehensive educational inclusion program.

This positive synergy in technology utilization is further strengthened by the capabilities of Educourse.id, a strategic program partner and a pioneer of coding and AI learning in Indonesia since 2020. This STEM platform employs a blended learning approach that integrates AI and Augmented Reality (AR) to transform curriculum materials into interactive, applicable content for camp participants. This reinforcement aligns with the BISA MAHIR scope in equipping students with foundational AI literacy (AI concepts and ethics regarding privacy and data bias).

Representing the provincial education authority, the Head of the SMK and SLB Section of the West Sumatra Education Department Branch Office Region I, Mrs. Dra. Mirawati, M.Si, reminded educators of the urgency of balancing digital aspects. "Digital learning has fundamentally changed the landscape of education. However, schools must guarantee three main pillars: physical, psychological, and digital safety for students. Telkom's presence with the BISA pandAI spirit provides an answer that no matter how sophisticated the smart technology we apply, the foundation of moral character, integrity, and Digital Ethics scores will never be replaced by machines," she concluded.

Echoing this, the Head of the Bukittinggi Education and Culture Department, Mr. Albertiusman, S.Si., M.Si, delivering remarks on behalf of the Vice Mayor of Bukittinggi, expressed his highest appreciation. The Bukittinggi Municipal Government is fully committed to supporting this healthy-smart school integration policy direction so that local physical infrastructure development always goes hand in hand with digital human resource competency readiness. This collaboration is expected to create Social Value by increasing the competitiveness of Indonesia's digital talent from an early age, so students do not become fragile and trapped as a 'strawberry generation'.

Through the implementation of this pilot project in Bukittinggi, Telkom hopes the program's impact can be measured periodically, ranging from increases in students' STEM scores and the creation of positive digital indices to the expanded adoption of Telkom's inclusive digital products that bring social benefits to the wider community.
