Jakarta – The strong concern of young generations toward social and environmental issues has become an important foundation for driving change. A Katadata survey (2021) reported that 77.4% of Indonesian youth are interested in environmental issues. This significant potential requires a platform that can channel students’ creativity into tangible solutions for society.
In response, Telkom Indonesia introduced Innovillage, a digital technology-based social innovation development program involving university students across Indonesia. Since its launch in 2020, Innovillage has consistently served as a collaborative platform connecting corporations, academia, and communities to address social and environmental challenges.

As of 2024, Innovillage has benefited more than 109,900 individuals from 36,300 households across various regions in Indonesia. These achievements demonstrate that student-developed digital technology innovations can address real community needs in a measurable and sustainable way.
On February 12, 2026, Telkom Indonesia received recognition at the FORTUNE Indonesia Summit (FIS) 2026 in the Fortune Indonesia Change the World category. The award is granted to companies that implement ESG programs that generate tangible, sustainable social and environmental impact within Indonesia’s business ecosystem and society.

Hery Susanto, Senior General Manager of Social Responsibility at Telkom Indonesia, stated that this recognition highlights the vital role of the younger generation in driving social transformation.
“This award is not merely recognition for Telkom, but acknowledgment of the extraordinary creative energy of Indonesian students. Through Innovillage, we aim to demonstrate that digital technology, in the hands of young generations, is not only for consumption but also an inclusive instrument of change. We remain committed to becoming a bridge for sustainable social innovation that addresses community challenges.”

The success of Innovillage reaffirms that multi-stakeholder collaboration can generate adaptive solutions to social challenges in the era of digital transformation. Telkom Indonesia views the empowerment of young digital talents as a long-term investment in strengthening national competitiveness and independence.
Through this program, Telkom further reinforces the implementation of its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) aligned with the company’s ESG principles. Innovillage contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, through synergy between corporations, universities, and communities.
Moving forward, Innovillage will continue to expand its geographic reach and deepen its program impact, in line with Telkom Indonesia’s commitment to delivering inclusive and sustainable digital innovation for the nation.
