Pekalongan – Stunting among toddlers and children remains one of the most serious challenges to national health development. This condition not only affects children’s growth and development but also has the potential to reduce the quality of future human resources. According to the 2024 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI), the national stunting rate has decreased from 27.7% in 2019 to 19.8% in 2024. However, regional disparities show that prevention efforts still need to be strengthened, including through the use of technology to monitor child growth and development more effectively and evenly.

In response to this challenge, Telkom Indonesia has introduced the Stunting Action Hub, a digital innovation that enables faster, more accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of child health data. This program is part of Telkom’s support for the government’s efforts to strengthen technology-based public health monitoring systems. Through the digitalization of posyandu (integrated health posts), interventions and stunting prevention efforts are expected to become more targeted and sustainable.

The first application-based monitoring activity was conducted on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Domiyang Village Posyandu in Pekalongan, involving 300 toddlers and 20 posyandu cadres. The cadres carried out weight and height measurements, immunizations, and health education for parents. Before the event, Telkom had provided intensive training on October 2, 2025, to ensure cadres could operate the Stunting Action Hub application effectively, enabling digital child growth recording with minimal errors.“As a digital company, Telkom Indonesia is committed to continuously delivering technology-based solutions that bring tangible benefits to society,” said Hery Susanto, Senior General Manager of Social Responsibility at Telkom Indonesia. “Through the Stunting Action Hub, we aim to help posyandu cadres monitor children’s growth more efficiently, accurately, and sustainably. This digital innovation is expected to strengthen stunting prevention efforts and improve the health quality of Indonesia’s future generations.”

Posyandu cadres also enthusiastically welcomed the initiative. “We are very excited about the Stunting Action Hub. Recording children’s growth has become much easier and more accurate,” said Siti Mariam, one of the cadres from Domiyang Village.

This program not only strengthens the child health data system but also empowers posyandu cadres as agents of change within their communities. Through capacity building and technological support, cadres can play an active role in identifying potential stunting risks early and providing appropriate intervention recommendations. The collaboration among communities, health workers, and Telkom reflects the synergy between technology and social concern in creating an inclusive, adaptive health ecosystem.

Through this initiative, Telkom Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to implementing its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, particularly under the Education and Digital Innovation pillars. The Stunting Action Hub program also contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 (Zero Hunger). Telkom believes that digitalization in the health sector is a strategic step toward creating a healthier, more prosperous, and more resilient society.
