Jakarta, 2 November 2022 – The fast-paced transportation and logistics industry is undergoing a significant digital transformation. Responding to these challenges, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) officially collaborated with PT Pengelola Pasar Induk Caringin to jointly accelerate the digital ecosystem at Caringin Wholesale Market, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Bandung recently. 

This collaboration includes the use of Telkom Logee and Agree digital services, digital products under the auspices of Leap-Telkom Digital, which provide digital ecosystem solutions at Caringin Wholesale Market so that they can reach a wider market online. As an initial step in realizing a digital ecosystem at  Caringin Wholesale Market, Logee and Agree built a Fulfillment Center, which is expected to serve the online market, while still maintaining the well-established offline ecosystem. 

"There are two solutions that Logee provides for the Caringin Wholesale Market, namely closed ecosystem and open ecosystem. The closed ecosystem accommodates supplies from the Caringin Wholesale Market fulfillment center to hotels, restaurants and cafes through Logee. Meanwhile the open ecosystem accommodates agribusiness marketplace aggregators, one of which is the Agree Market platform. In addition, by using Logee, Caringin Wholesale market managers can make more efficient and effective decisions, because this platform provides information and data about demand, quality, time and performance," Telkom Digital Business Director Fajrin Rasyid said. 

Caringin Wholesale Market owner Agung Suryamal said that market accommodates 4,100 traders. Together with Telkom, Caringin Wholesale Market will gradually digitize the market so that it can become a digital market. "We aim to make it easier for hotel, restaurant, cafe entrepreneurs, and the public to easily shop at Caringin Wholesale Market with competitive prices, quality goods, and fast distribution," Agung said.

Telkom EVP Digital Business and Technology Saiful Hidajat said he hoped that this collaboration to introduce a digital ecosystem at Caringin Wholesale Market will stimulate digital ecosystems in other wholesale markets across Indonesia. "Hopefully this will be a good start for us to orchestrate digital ecosystems in various fields, including traditional market ecosystems," Saiful said.

Logee and Agree are part of Leap, an umbrella brand for Telkom's digital products and services aimed to accelerate the digitalization of Indonesian society. With Leap, Telkom hoped it could support the growth of Indonesia's digital ecosystem to accelerate the realization of national digital sovereignty, in line with the government's target in the coming years.
