Focusing on Employee Career Development, Telkom Tops the Ranking of Top Companies 2022

Jakarta, April 8, 2022 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has been internationally recognized again as a digital telecommunications company that focuses on developing employee competencies and careers, with LinkedIn ranks Telkom at the spot in LinkedIn Top Companies 2022l, beating 14 other Indonesian companies.

According to the LinkedIn News Asia release, LinkedIn Top Companies 2022 is an annual ranking list that lists 15 companies as the best workplaces to develop employee careers. Compiled based on LinkedIn's unique data, the companies included in the list are said to offer job stability in the ever-changing world of work and continuously recruiting and retaining employees.

Telkom Human Capital Management Director Afriwandi welcomed the award from LinkedIn as the world's largest professional networking platform. According to him, this award was made possible thanks to all Telkom employees’ contribution. “We thank LinkedIn for the Top Companies 2022 award for Telkom. Being ranked first is certainly a pride for us and it is an evidence of all Telkom people's hard and smart work. This surely serves as a motivation for Telkom to continue focusing on our human capital, especially talent development," Afriwandi said.

“Congratulations to all Telkom employees. Of course, we dedicate this award to all employees throughout Indonesia. Let's keep the spirit to always be better," Afriwandi added.

The analytical data used by LinkedIn is grouped into seven pillars. Each of these pillars is an important element that influences career advancement, including the ability to advance, skill development, company stability, external opportunities, company affinity (interest), gender diversity, and diversity of educational backgrounds. Data obtained by LinkedIn, one of which is captured and illustrated by the activation of employer branding on Telkom's official website on the LinkedIn platform.

Based on LinkedIn’s seven assessments, Telkom has used the LinkedIn platform as a channel for employer branding and employee recruitment. In an effort to attract talent through employer branding activation, Telkom not only prioritizes corporate information but also provides information related to culture (AKHLAK core values) and work-life balance at Telkom (#LivinginTelkom story) based on  employees’ testimonials from various units and locations that promote  gender equality. In addition, Telkom regularly provides information on communities within Telkom as a forum for employee creativity and innovation. On the career development side, Telkom also actively provides information about career preparation and career development to professional followers of Telkom Indonesia'sLinkedIn official account, such as tips on becoming a data scientist, product manager, to information about the DigiStar program to prepare students, fresh graduates, and job seekers to be ready to enter the digital industry.

In its official statement, LinkedIn said that the purpose of this award is to empower professionals at every stage — whether they want to change career paths, re-enter the workforce after a break, or seek to develop new skills.
