MAKASSAR, July 21, 2026 – The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) noted that the adoption rate of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Indonesia in 2026 has reached 92 percent. This high adoption rate indicates that digital transformation is progressing rapidly across various sectors, including education. Amidst these developments, schools are demanded not only to optimize technology utilization but also to ensure that students' mental wellbeing remains protected in facing the influx of information.
Addressing this challenge, TelkomGroup takes a strategic role through the BISA PandAI education pillar and the BISA Vokasi program by presenting the EduMind Wellbeing & AI Camp. This program serves as a collaborative platform that integrates AI technology utilization with a wellbeing approach in the school environment. Through this initiative, Telkom strives to ensure that the acceleration of digital literacy runs in harmony with the creation of a safe, healthy, inclusive, and ethical learning environment for the younger generation.
As a concrete implementation, the EduMind Wellbeing & AI Camp was held in Makassar from July 21–23, 2026, involving 350 participants consisting of 300 students and 50 supervising teachers from 10 high vocational and senior high schools (SMA and SMK) in Makassar City. Throughout the activity, teachers were introduced to the EduMind platform equipped with weekly mood check-in features, AI-assisted wellbeing monitoring, and a reporting system to support the continuous monitoring of students' psychological conditions. Meanwhile, students received briefings and exploration spaces to utilize AI wisely, creatively, and productively in supporting their learning processes.
Senior General Manager of Social Responsibility at Telkom Indonesia, Hery Susanto, stated, "Through the EduMind Wellbeing & AI Camp, Telkom as a digital company is committed to promoting the responsible use of artificial intelligence in the educational environment. We believe that digital transformation needs to go hand in hand with efforts to maintain students' mental health so they grow into smart, adaptive, and character-driven generations. Telkom will continue to strengthen collaboration with schools, teachers, and various stakeholders to present an inclusive, healthy educational ecosystem that is ready to face the future."
The EduMind Wellbeing & AI Camp is part of TelkomGroup's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program implementation in supporting the improvement of education quality in Indonesia. This initiative is also in line with Telkom's commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education).
Coinciding with the momentum of Telkom Indonesia's 61st anniversary, the company continues to strengthen its contribution in delivering innovations that provide a real impact for society. Through the spirit of "Bersama Telkom Jadi Bisa", Telkom believes that collaboration becomes the foundation for creating a generation that is digitally superior, mentally resilient, and ready to face the future, while strengthening the quality of Indonesia's human resources toward a more competitive future.
