Jakarta, 4 October 2021 – The JaSuKa (Jawa-Sumatera-Kalimantan) submarine cable communication system owned by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has been repaired and resumed normal operations since Monday morning (4/10) at 05.30 Western Indonesia Time (WIB). The cable connection severed on the previous day along the Batam-Pontianak section has also been restored, faster than the initial target to finish it in a month.
Telkom Corporate Communication Vice President, Pujo Pramono said, "Thank God, the Jasuka submarine cable is now recovered and is serving telecommunication traffic as normal so that customers can experience the best digital experience from various TelkomGroup services. We express our gratitude for the support of various parties that have helped the submarine cables reconnecting process. We also thank our customers who continue to trust and keep using TelkomGroup services."
