


Jakarta, August 20, 2026 — TelkomGroup continues to demonstrate its care for disaster-affected communities by channeling humanitarian aid to the residents of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) following the earthquake that struck the region on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The earthquake caused damage to residential homes and various public facilities, prompting approximately 2,000 residents in Nagekeo Regency to self-evacuate. Based on data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) as of August 15, 2026, the disaster resulted in 47 fatalities. Meanwhile, 346 homes were damaged, consisting of 157 severely damaged, 41 moderately damaged, and 148 lightly damaged homes.
The earthquake's impact was also felt across various public facilities, including 87 educational facilities, 18 health facilities, 5 places of worship, and 6 offices. These conditions have heavily impacted community activities and increased the need for humanitarian support for residents in the affected areas.
As a form of care and corporate social responsibility, TelkomGroup, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR/TJSL) program, took prompt action to distribute humanitarian aid to help meet the basic needs of the affected communities while supporting the post-disaster recovery process.
TelkomGroup's humanitarian aid is being distributed in phases through the BNPB Command Post, which serves as the central coordination hub for receiving, managing, and distributing aid to the affected populations.
On August 18, 2026, TelkomGroup distributed the first phase of aid, comprising 600 kg of rice, 150 bottles of 900 ml cooking oil, 100 cartons of 600 ml mineral water, 100 blankets, 25 tarpaulins, 150 boxes of baby food (porridge and biscuits), 100 packs of biscuits, and essential medicines.
Subsequently, on August 20, 2026, TelkomGroup distributed the second phase of aid, consisting of 1,750 kg of rice, 150 bottles of 800 ml cooking oil, 300 cartons of 600 ml mineral water, 600 adult diapers, 250 cartons of instant noodles, 200 baby diapers, 100 bottles of soap, 100 bottles of shampoo, 100 tubes of toothpaste, 100 toothbrushes, 65 towels, 1 medical kit, 100 blankets, 500 boxes of baby food, 400 biscuits, and 1 cutlery set. Overall, this second phase of aid totaled 3,317 items with a combined weight of 3,647.5 kg.
The aid is routed through the BNPB Command Post to be efficiently forwarded to the communities in need through established coordination mechanisms, ensuring the support accurately reaches the affected regions and demographic groups based on on-the-ground requirements.
The Senior General Manager of Social Responsibility at Telkom Indonesia, Hery Susanto, emphasized that TelkomGroup's presence during disaster situations is a core part of the company's commitment to helping communities recover and resume their daily activities.
