TelkomGroup Deploys 18,393 Personnel for 24/7 to Ensure Customer Services Remain In Check and Excellent During Idul Fitri Holiday

The gifts served as a token of appreciation for the personnel who remain on duty in order to ensure the company’s services remain excellent during the 2019 Idul Fitri holiday.

As the 2019 Idul Fitri holiday approaches, Telkom launched its TelkomGroup Siaga Ramadan and Idul Fitri (RAFI) command post, which serves to supervise the production equipment and network infrastructure readiness, in anticipation to the spike in telecommunications traffic during this year’s Ramadan and Idul Fitri holiday. The TelkomGroup Siaga RAFI involves 18,393 personnel who are on standby 24/7 in 98 posts throughout Indonesia.


 

Jakarta, 31 May 2019 – In anticipation of the 2019 Idul Fitri, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) launched its TelkomGroup Siaga Ramadan and Idul Fitri (RAFI) command post. The post will supervise the production equipment and network infrastructure readiness in anticipation of the spike in telecommunications traffic during this year’s Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Since the beginning of Ramadan, Telkom has been rolling out a number of activities related to the TelkomGroup Siaga RAFI 2019 such as Premium Services to ensure the reliability and quality of infrastructure, Special Packages which offers various products and Telkom Sharing, which is a part of its corporate social responsibility activities.

Telkom's Managing Director Ririek Adriansyah expressed his appreciation to the personnel manning the post to ensure TelkomGroup delivers its quality services. 

"I thank all colleagues who are on duty. This is what distinguishes TelkomGroup from the others. Even on holidays like today, some of us continue to work hard to ensure that TelkomGroup services are always the best. Hopefully what we do now makes TelkomGroup more advanced," said Ririek.

The TelkomGroup Siaga RAFI post are being held nationwide and regionally to mitigate and recover services should there be any disruption. As many as 18,393 personnel have been deployed to be on standby 24/7 in 98 posts throughout Indonesia. 

In addition to that, Telkom’s subsidiary Telkomsel has also enhanced all its network elements in strategic points along the routes that holidaygoers take and in public places. Specifically, Telkomsel is upgrading its network along the routes in order to provide quality services with adequate capacity by providing additional LTE Base Tranceiver Station (BTS), installing 631 new BTS and upgrading 449 existing ones. 

On 31 May 2019, Telkom Presient Director with members of the board of directors as well as TelkomGroup senior leadership visited a number of TelkomGroup Siaga RAFI posts in Jakarta and held a video conference call with other posts in seven Telkom regional posts. Apart from inspecting the network and services reliability, the CEO also had an exchange with with corporate customers, a staff briefing and handed over some gift bags to the personnel in the posts. 

The visit was not just to making sure the services’ readiness but was also as a token of appreciation for the personnel who take part in securing TelkomGroup services during the Idul Fitri holiday.
At the of of the visit, Telkom CEO gave a pep talk to all personel at the posts. “Take this RAFI (Ramadhan Idul Fitri) to win the customers’ hearts by providing them with the best service.” 

The leadership visited six TelkomGroup Siaga RAFI 2019 posts; Corporate Customer Center in Citywalk, World Hub Operation Command Center Telin, TV Video at Gambir STO, Grapari TelkomGroup, Telkom Integrated Operation Center and Integrated Operated Center Telkomsel.
