JAKARTA, October 29, 2026 – A safe, sustainable blood supply is critical to supporting public health services. According to data from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Central Blood Donor Unit (2025), the ideal national blood requirement reaches 5.6 million bags per year. Meanwhile, blood collection in 2024 reached around 5.5 million bags, equivalent to 98% of the ideal demand. Although this achievement shows positive progress, maintaining an even and sustainable blood supply across various regions still requires the participation and collaboration of multiple parties.
To address this challenge, TelkomGroup introduced a digital innovation through BISA DONOR, a platform designed to simplify access to information and coordinate blood donations among TelkomGroup employees. The platform was officially launched through a Grand Launching event held simultaneously in five regions: Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, and Balikpapan.
BISA DONOR was developed to digitize employees' blood donation histories, streamline registration, and connect employees in need of blood donations with potential donors within the TelkomGroup ecosystem. Beyond serving as a tool for data collection and coordination, the application features a reward system that offers points redeemable for various attractive prizes. Through this approach, TelkomGroup aims to build a more integrated blood donation ecosystem while fostering a culture of sharing and mutual care among employees.
Employee enthusiasm for the platform launch was evident, with 724 TelkomGroup employees registered in the BISA DONOR system. The national launch event was attended by Telkom Human Capital Management Director Willy Saelan, Telkom Indonesia Senior General Manager of Social Responsibility Hery Susanto, and PMI Chairman of Partnership and Cooperation Isac Kharis Tahtawira, S.H.
Telkom Human Capital Management Director, Willy Saelan, expressed his appreciation for the launch of BISA DONOR as an innovation that integrates technology with a humanitarian mission.
“I greatly appreciate the launch of the BISA DONOR application, which carries a humanitarian mission and provides solutions through digital technology. Based on past experience, one challenge with blood donation apps has been limited regional coverage, meaning donor data and access were not always usable when someone was in a different region. BISA DONOR is expected to address this challenge through a more integrated system within TelkomGroup. We hope this platform will encourage more employees to participate actively and make blood donation part of a healthy lifestyle, fostering a spirit of mutual help and benefiting others,” said Willy.
The launch of BISA DONOR is also part of Telkom Indonesia’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program under the social pillar, specifically supporting improvements in healthcare quality. This initiative reflects TelkomGroup’s commitment to optimizing digital technology to deliver solutions that add value to society.
Under the spirit of Bersama Jadi Bisa (Together We Can), TelkomGroup continues to promote collaboration and active employee participation in creating sustainable social impact. BISA DONOR is expected to not only strengthen the blood donation culture within the company but also serve as a concrete step toward supporting blood availability and improving public health. This effort aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
