ACEH, July 30, 2026 – The utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) increasingly plays a role in boosting community productivity and competitiveness in the digital era. The equitable distribution of AI literacy and skills has become a crucial part of ensuring that the benefits of digital transformation can be felt by communities across various regions, including areas outside central economic growth hubs.

In line with the spirit of Bersama Jadi Bisa (Together We Can), TelkomGroup, through its education pillar Bisa PandAI and the Bisa Mahir program, continues to encourage the strengthening of digital talents through a sustainable and tiered learning approach. One such effort is realized through the Rural Youth AI Facilitator program, designed to mold young facilitators capable of passing on AI knowledge and skills to the next generation and MSME players at the community level.

Following its previous implementation in Papua, the Rural Youth AI Facilitator program is now present in the Sumatra region, specifically in Aceh on July 28–30, 2026. This activity was attended by 28 participants consisting of lecturers and AI enthusiasts, who were prepared as mentors to assist university students in understanding and utilizing AI technology. Furthermore, the students will act as Youth Facilitators who will pass this knowledge on to local MSME players.

The series of training sessions spanned three days. On the first day, participants engaged in a pre-test, module comprehension, AI perception discussions, an introduction to the mentor's role, and presentations on the functions and utilization of AI. The activity continued with group work to prepare for training simulations using the provided modules. On the following day, participants deepened their understanding of the material while preparing for practical sessions, before the program concluded with a Youth Facilitator training simulation conducted live by all participants.

The Senior General Manager of Social Responsibility at Telkom Indonesia, Hery Susanto, stated that the equitable distribution of AI literacy and skills requires collaboration and a learning ecosystem capable of reaching the community sustainably.

"As a digital company, Telkom recognizes the importance of ensuring that the mastery of digital technology and artificial intelligence can reach communities in various regions. Through a tiered development network, we hope that the academics and AI enthusiasts participating in this program can become facilitators capable of passing their knowledge on to the next generation. With the spirit of Bersama Jadi Bisa, this collaboration is expected to expand access to AI learning while accelerating the emergence of competent and competitive digital talents," he said.

The implementation of the Rural Youth AI Facilitator program is part of Telkom Indonesia's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR/TJSL) efforts to support the equitable distribution of quality education and the improvement of technological literacy in Indonesia. This program also serves as TelkomGroup's contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education through the strengthening of digital competencies, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth through the development of digital talents that can support community productivity and economic growth.
